Default 92 accord with serious tranny trouble, please help!!

So here's the story -

A few winters ago I had a problem with my 92 accord. I was driving early in the morning, and it was very cold, and all ofa sudden the transmission slipped out of gear, and stayed that way. It would make it to second, then wouldn't shift up again. The RPMs would fly way up, but it would barely accellerate. I took it off the road until this spring when I had the time and money to replace the tranny. So, somehow in spite of the fact that I'm not a very good mechanic the car actually has worked pretty well since I really started driving it about two months ago.

Recently, it has been having a few problems that all seem related.

1. It always shifts up at too high a RPM, and shifts down at too high RPM.
2. Sometimes it will start doing something similar to what it did before I replaced the tranny. The spedomer will completely stop working, drop to zero, and the RPMs will shoot up, while the car will only accellerate very slowly, without shifting. Its almost as though it was a manual transmission, and the clutch wasn't completely engaged. Very strange. It will stay this way for a minute to ten, then go right back to normal. It doesn't seem to happen at any particular time, and I have no idea what causes it to go back to normal.
3. In general it seems to work in a very irregular way no matter what, and it is always jerking the car around.

So, the diagnostic system kicks in to let me know what the trouble is, but it hasn't been much help. The D4 starts blinking at around 40, or a few minutes into the trip, it's hard to tell. The code it used to flash was something about the Ignition Coil Signal. Today my brother and I took a look at the electrical connections on the tranny, and I disconnected to battery. After driving it until the light started blinking again, the code was #9, No. 1 Cylinder Position Sensor. As far as I could tell all of the electrical connections were good, but I didn't get the best look at all of them.

So, here's my questions. Do these codes make sense? Or even better, does anyone know what the hell is going on with my car? Any advice you could give would be unbelievably helpful. Thanks!

PS if anyone has a list of diagnostic codes that they are sure are right for a 92 accord, I that would be great. I'm not sure mine are right.
