Help! I'm having Tons of trouble located a bottom end

Default Help! I'm having Tons of trouble located a bottom end

Hey I need a h22 bottom end (constructed) w/o tranny and w/o head.. and I'm having a REALLY hard trying to find one..Does anyone know of any stores that are selling just thes short block... I need this thign ready to go.. slap the head on and instlal it in my 4th gen lude ASAP. it has to be done in a month.... OUT of the garage!

please help!

weren't you the one that was having all kinds of problems with your motor? what ever turned out to be the problem? and yes a h22 bottome end will be hard to find. your going to have to find someone parting out a motor.

i have no idea what is wrong with the motor


compression test resulted in 1 leaky cylinder... but i cant figure it out.. no problems (physically)!! so i donna!

have your tried doing a leak down test to see where the air is leaking from?

with the intake manifold and header off, flip the head so the combution chambers are facing up. buy some brake cleaner and clean the combution chambers up and eventually you want to spray some brake cleaner and let it sit in each of the combution chambers and then look in the intake and exhaust ports to see if you see and wetness.. this would indicate leakage of the brake cleaner. the brake cleaner will find a wa if there is not a complete seal of all your valves.

I may possibly have something for you. My friend (mgags7) and I just helped his brother swap out a motor into his new hatch. He has a complete longblock. Ill ask to see if hes interested in parting it out for you.
