Stock 97 accord ex coupe 5spd mod ideas?
I just bought a 97 accord coupe its completely stock and i want to add some engine mods i already have a system in but i was thinking about starting with an AEM V2 intake what do you think
if u want engine mods, go to with the I/H/E combo.. which would be Intake/Headers/Exhaust..
if turbo counts as a "engine" mod then thats your best bet.. that or just swtich with an h22 , but those arent good with trubo like the f22's are. (f22's have iron sleaved so they can hold turbo way better)
also i know u said engine mods.. but another good mod for the car is suspension. (springs, struts and strut bars)

Go I/H/E like stated above, but also go for suspension, if you want to have an all around car try to get a nice setup like Ksports or Tien basics. I have yet to put my Ksports in my 6th gen, but I hope to see a vast improvment in my handling and ride quality. I had a system a while back but found I had no use for them and all they are is an annoyance to anyone else, yeah it's cool to have them but why so loud and bassy? Just my .02, also they'll make you slower due to the high weight content of the subs, wiring, box(plays big part), and subs themselves. I Hear it also reduces your gas mileage. Keep this all in mind and hopefully your car turns out nice!
Get the I/H/E... ....any intake and any header will do it... but choose carefully for the exhaust so you don't make your car sound like a crispy CRX.
Now, some pulleys (power steering and alternator) and if you can afford the nicest pulley, get a crank stock diameter from unorthodox racing, of the series SSC, you can get the entire set for 350, but trust me... it's worth.... I've just got them.... makes your engine run lighter and thats many ponnies for you to deliver to the road.
Short shift adaptor and a suspension upgrade is nice too! Don't forget the strut bars to get that feeling... haaaaa... you know what I mean when you make a sharp turn a 50 miles per hour... feels like a F1... ....tight, mean accord!
peace out....
