I got a set of LS pistons and there on the rods and i got a set of pr3's with the connecting rods on...need to swap em out, only 2 places around my area do that work, one guy said hell probably break em so i was like then ur def not doing it and other guyz said 60 bux but only told him to take em off and put new ones on he dont know he gotta take 2 sets off and put one on is that a good price or what should i do???
I did read your post, which was hard to read BTW. Like I said, any machine shop with a hydraulic press can press out the wrist pins. If there is nobody else and you need it done, you have no choice but to pay what they want right?
Try to open up the yellow pages in your area and check under Auto: machining and racing

Time is money and you are wasting more time and effort to save $15, which in the long run you will not be saving. If you have to spend more than an hour to save $15, you have lost it in time & effort ... think about it for 5 seconds and then call the guy back and schedule an appointment
i was wondering if the pistons could be removed without takeing the engine out. if so, does anyone know a how to site or a DIY site that has directions on how that can be done.?

Remove oil pan. Remove rod bolts.
1) Pull head. Pop out pistons from top.
or
2) Remove main caps and crank, pull out from bottom.
