Default F22 tranny on H22 motor????

Like I said on the title. I have a 97 Accord ex and I want to know if I am able to just put the h22 in and bolt it to the f22 tranny?

yep, it'll bolt up just fine...just be ready for a 2-3 shift at 74 mph and a 3-4 shift at around 105-108...

sure it will work but you will cause v-tec to disengage everytime it shifts due to the rpm drop. The gear spacing on these trannies is pretty wide because it is geared for fuel ecomomy.

umm... and where would you be going those kinds of speeds?

Personally I would rather have an H22 tranny with shorter gears than the F22 with the longer gears.

It will work but the long gears rob the h22 of a lot of performance.

Naw only if you either have a vtec controller and set it that low or have a chipped ecu... I have a f22 tranny on my h22. I dont fall out of vtec at all. The only time you're suppose to fall out of it is on the 1, 2 shift... My tires spin all the way thru second so I dont have to worry about it.
