I havent seen a CRX with cupholders i dont even know if they made them if so, were can i get some cus it sucks not having one sometimes.

 

They are typically put in when the Integra console/arm rest is involved. And I have also seen Ford Taurus cupholders used.

 

So CRXs did not come with stock cupholders?

no they didn't. you can use the integra console. it fits pretty good but not perfect. If you have to have a cupholder I suggest the integra console. Good Luck

integra works the best...although i havnt seen the taurus thing at all

yes it is

 

since civic and crx consoles are different, you really cant install the whole integra console and armrest in a crx.

but you can use the cupholder from the integra with a bit of modifications, make it fit in place of the ashtray and cig lighter. you can see from my pics. tons more useful than the ashtray and cig lighter it replaced. i can relocate the cig lighter if i wanted, and i just use the left coin tray to store whatever i need. i relocated the light bulb to the DIN pocket as well.





as for an armrest, you can use a 96-00 civic armrest and it will fit ok with a bit of modification. ive done that too. no pic yet.

 

Hey Tyson, that looks great! I've seen the other kind where the cup holder is mounted in the din pocket, but yours is MUCH cleaner than that. How about a write up on that?

 

theres nothing to write up. you just need a dremel. if youre serious about doing it, just get the cupholder from ebay and be willing to cut into your center console. what you neeed to cut will be obvious. i secured the cupholder with duct tape pretty much.

btw, its not my idea. i got it from someone else here. theres a link somewhere...

I have a couple of Ford Taurus cupholders but the cost of a JDM double-DIN console is ridiculous. Tyson, do you think I could just dremel out the USDM console?
