i just realized that there was a cup holder in my car (just got it, have never even been in an accord before)

when i push it and it pops out, it doesnt stop, it just shoots out at the shifter and springs back all crooked, and its a pain to put back in.

anyone know how to fix that...i looked at the holder itself and it appears that there is a piece broken, but i cant tell for sure

 

Ohh it's had the shooting cup holder mod. See if you aim it right at a hijacker terrorist it's a great deterrant and just write on the lid "ALLAH THIS"!
No seriousally you will probably need to replace it. Or duct tape always does the trick.

I have a 93 Ex and I've found it to be the stupidest cup holder ever. Only 12 oz cans of soda or a very select few cups actually fit in it, and the lid usually presses the buttons on the stereo when you try and pick the cup up to drink from it. Glad they don't use that design anymore. Mine sprung out too and it as off track somehow, just try and keep putting it back in so it's above the little track in there.

 

Forget it !!! I've seen dozens of ruined stereos from that dufus cup holder; people slam on the brakes and the cola goes in to the stereo..ta da dead stereo

 

And if you happen to smoke, your screwed. Cup holder and ashtray cannot co-exist. 7th gen cup holders are great (little springy things to hold all sizes).

 

yeah the cup holde ris dumb and since I have an aftermarket deck I have to jam th edrinks under the deck to get them to fit, and the slightest bump makes the tray come out
