Default 90 Accord Tachometer problem

Hey all:

I've got a 90 Accord that had a battery positive lead that was corroaded pretty bad. As a result, the car had some electrical issues until I fixed the lead and terminal.

One of the weird things was when I tried to start the car, the tach would go from 0 clockwise to past redline, even with the motor not running. Now, it just stays there in this pegged position. Is there a way I can reset the tachometer?

Thanks

Jim

My first impression would be a defective gauge. Do you know if the "ignitor" has ever been replaced? Did fixing the battery terminal affect this at all?
