i have a 97 Civic CX stock motor and just changed the ALT. and Dist. but still have problem car starts but when headlights on everything else Dims and my car gets very weak idle and eventualy shuts off, and o yea when i turn on my headlights my RMP doesn't work but when off it does

go to autozone and have them check your electrical system. it's free. they will check battery and alternator. this way you can verify to see if everything is putting out what it should.
