my car is a 91 civic hatch with a cable b series swap. i used hasport mounts and shift linkage. ive only had this setup for 4 months. i was changing my oil and i was playing with the shift linkage and i found alot of play in the linkage bushings. like on the tranny side the linkage has 2 pivot points. one for up and down and the other for left to right. the bushing for the left to right movement has alot of play, im can hit the metal going through the bushing on to each side.

anyone had this problem before?

 

the joint is bad and going out. needs to be replaced (cut & welded or a brand new one put on)

 

return it to hasport and I am sure that they will come to some sort of conclusion. They stand by there parts and they dont want anyone bad mouthing them so I can almost garuntee you that they will fix it for you. Good Luck!
