Question about 1500civic, way back when
does anyone know what kind of motorswaps could be done into a 1982 civic 1500 dx 5-speed? especially interested to know if a k20a3 could fit, or even any crx si motors? just trying to get an answer for a friend and i'm kind of curious too, thanks.

ALOT of fabrication if you want to swap b series, h series, k series.........but I'm sure it would be alot easier to bolt a d series engine in there, but I dont know if it would bolt directly up. Plus you would have to change alot of wiring to get it to adapt to the motor swap.

I've got an 81' 1300 DX. I have heard that a 78' - 84' Prelude/Accord motors are a drop-in affair, and no wiring is needed because they are carb'd. these motors are 1.8 I beleive, and have PLENTY of power to scoot the light *** little cvcc around, that would be the easiest swap. I have seen d series swapped in, but you must make custom mounts and swap a whole wiring harness in as well. You will also need higher fuel pressure for the F.I. system.
