the sports ligght is flashing sometimes and when it does the transmission takes long time to shift into fourth gear but it does not do it everytime?
i know it kinda vague but would this mean anything to the accord guys?

what are Vss and Solenoids? and can i do it myself... im having this problem..(sorta) except im stuck in third and my Sport shift light blinks ALOT. whether the Sport Shift is turned on or not. thanks
vss = variable speed sensor. The solenoids can be tested with a 9 volt battery if you don't have a scan tool. All the battery test does is tell you if the solenoids are working or not. They have a small screen in them and small orifices which plug easily and must be replaced when they are plugged. You need a special tester to see if they are flowing correctly or not. I would take it to a shop and have the car scanned to eliminate a ecu issue as well. Also this trans has pickup sensors on it not to mention the throttle postion sensor, all of which can cause problems. Getting it scanned would spot an electronics issue pretty quick and is cheaper than replacing parts till you get the right part. Get someone that knows honda, probably have to do it at a stealership but at least you get someone that only works on one brand of car and should know the in's and out's. Good luck
