springs
deciding on either neuspeed springs or eibach sportline. i like the drop on the neuspeeds but on the eibach it seems to be more popular wit the agx shocks..........which is better for my daily driving? or which springs drops lower to a finger gap at the wheelwell??? any springs in general
you have to also consider your wheel and tire size. Eibach and H & R seems to be the most popular in my opinion. I run H & R race springs so my drop is like 2.75 in the front and 2.5 in the rear. I am on 205/50/16 so my gap clearance is like an inch. most guys are on 17 or 18 inch rims so they have lower profile tires and let the rim take up the gap. looks better but the rims can be heavier. i am after performance so i stick with 16's.

Anyone riding around with Eibach Pro-Kit on 18's?
I wanted to see what kind of gap and the ride quailty was like with the Pro-kit and Tokico HPs.
TIA

tire wall height dude. use the miata tire calculator site. play with the numbers and you will find that the diameter of the entire wheel/tire changes. factor the results into your drop and wa la. fender gap will vary.

I always wonder that as well.

Why would you play with the overall diameter of the tire for? You don't need that site to figure it out, it's simple math. For whatever rim you decide to buy, just buy a tire with the right dimensions to keep your overall tire diameter the same or as close to it as possible. If your tires diameter is only like 1/2" different your not going to notice any difference in fender gap and you can usually get a tire with a diameter within a 1/2" of stock.

notice you said usually you get a tire with in 1/2 of stock. not everyone does this. i have seen so very low profile tires on 17 and 18's which shows more gap. if you correctly plus size your rim/tire combo, yeah it will not be as noticable. for example. you take a stock 4th gen accord which is 195/60/14. dia is 23.2. pluse sizing could take you to 205/45/17 dia is 24.3. a full inch over. or you could go 215/40/17 dia is 23.8. depends on your set up, which is what i am saying here. now add a 1.75 front drop & 1.5 drop in there as opposed to my drop of 2.75 front and 2.5 rear. my 205/50/16 combo is at 24.1 diameter. nearly an inch over stock.
I did say usually because when some people put say an 18" rim on a 5th gen they may not have the tire sizing availiblity they need to get the correct diameter. But if they were to have bought a 17" or smaller rim, they would have a much better chance of finding a tire with the correct dimensions. This should be considered when buying rims. Make sure you can get a tire of the correct dimensions for your car.
But in your example, why would someone buy a 205/45/17 thats to big when they could get a 215/40/17 thats much closer. Chances are, a 17" rims is going to be able to hold a 215 tire no problem.
People shouldn't be trying to take up fender gap with the tire. Having a larger tire increases your chances for rubbing, especially if your lowered. You'll have more rotational weight, add larger rims if you have them and it'll be even worse. It'll effectively lengthen your gears making you accelerate slower. It'll also slightly throw off your speedometer. Maybe even throw off your gas mileage a little.
If you want less fender gap, drop the car lower.

this is why i selected what i got considering my drop. less weight, close to stock, i think my speedometer is off by like 1-2mph though. i wasn't arguing about what you just posted, i was just stating setups will vary depending on whats involved.

I just have to say that you people adjusting the tire size AT ALL to compensate for fender well gap are behind the evolution curve. I can't think of any reason for something this rediculous. It's beyond stickers, decals, primer, fire extinguishers and GT wings. If you get hard off a 19" or 20" wheel, are running a 30 series tire, and it's still too large, then whatever. You didn't have a choice to compensate for your ignorance. On the other hand. Anyone using a decent sized wheel SHOULD NOT be adjusting the tire's diameter. There are infinite combinations to fit your wheel and car. It's just stupid. Like working against the laws of nature. If someone comes up to me and has just put some nice new wheels on their car, and maintained the correct height, I'm going to shake their hand. If someone comes up to me and says they just screwed up their speedometer, expletive up their gas mileage, made their car much slower, I AM GOING TO SLAP THEM.
If you believe that anything I've said is referring to you, then I probably am. If you are offended by anything I've said, then you're the ignorant ricer I'm talking about. You're the reason the rest of us Honda owners get a bad name.
EDITED to be PG-13. Been a loooong day.

you are speaking from opinion on your behalf. anyone putting 19's or 20's on their ride is totally up to them. 215/35/18 is the max i would go on my ride though. i won't knock someone or call them stupid as you have just because they equipped their ride in such a way. i think it is ignorant to throw names or down someone for doing as they please. if you don't have anything nice to say, better off not saying anything at all because more than likely you would offend someone here and they may take it the wrong way. now if you ask me, put downs and offensive comments is what gives this accord forum a bad rep.
yeah, I don't think the speedometer will be off much but it will a little. It's because of all the other reasons why I don't think it's a good idea to put larger diameter tires on.
Yes setups will always vary, this is a given. I just don't think tires should be used to decrease fender gap.
If I sounded like I was upset and arguing, I'm not, I just having a friendly debate.

naw TouringAccord your cool. I was mainly referring to AFAccord. I understand were your coming from. We have been debating back and forth and AF comes out of nowhere and basically calls peeps stupid. I don't condone name calling.
