Default EBAY Headers, YAY Or NAY??

Okay now I know everybodies going to say to get a RMF header or some bad *** header and believe me I want to. But money is tight. Alright well anyways I want to get a header off EBAY because the DC Header I have on my H22 hatch has got a good sized dent underneath which is restricting airflow. So I want to get one of the two piece header units off of EBAY and attach the secondary pipe to the DC header by welding them together. Do you think that this is a bad idea??? What if I just ditched the whole DC header unit and put the ebay complete manifold on??? I know not to get turbo exhaust manifolds off of ebay because they crack and what not, does this hold the same for N/A header units also???

9 views no opinion??? I was looking at the T-Pros Stainless Steel 2 piece header for about like 120 or so. I think it should be alright, I just don't want to find out the hard way you know???

Most are pretty bad, if you feel that you must spend the money, then purchase the entire ebay unit to ensure that there will be at least decent fitment, do not just weld the DC with X brand ebay header. The downside to the ebay headers is their poor quality. Poor welds, thin material, sometimes shotty fitment, but if you are just using it as a temporary header to replace a busted OEM manifold, then it should serve its purpose, but do not expect very good gains out of it.

I've got an OBX stainless header on my '01, and it's been pretty good. I spent $180 on it by the time it was shipped to me. After about 15k miles the support to the engine block broke off, and I rewelded it in place. If it happens again, I intend to just cut the bracket off and run without it. OBX is more expensive than Megan, or some of the others, but I think it's a better value than DC (except that DC has a CARB number, which is important in CA).

For the same amount of money I bet you could find a used DC Sports or GReddy header.
