can firewall mounted MAP sensor vacuum be plugged in any spot?
i recently changed motors and the one i put in has the map on the throttle body but i kinda clogged the opening with silicone so it dont work too well unless i get a new TB gasket , but my del sol has one on the firewall also but i dont have anywhere to plug it so would it read right if i tapped into the pressure regulator vacuum line with a T and ran one to the map and other to regulator? or can it only read from that one spot on the tb ? and what is that looped vaccum line on the firewall mounted MAP ? it has two hoses on it but one of them runs to nothing its just blocked off?
i was under the impression that u needed to have it on the tb,but im pretty sure if u just tap a line into the intake maniflod thats after the tb u should be fine.
note: it would have to be a line just to the map sensor u cant t into a preexisting vacuum line. all the drilling and taping isnt worth the time, just spend some money on a gasket, ebay! oh and i think ur refuring to check valves, there one way valves that fool the map sensor into seeing or not seeing i cant remember boost.

what would be the diff between tapping into another line as compared to it having its own? they all go to one vac source right?

it doesnt have to be on the TB, as long as the MAP has the sensor pluged in it and the vacuum hole has a hose on it that is connected to the IM, you should be fine.
