Supercharger Prelude
Im thinking about starting a new project. I want to get either a 97-01 base or SH prelude to supercharger it. ive seen quite a few jackson racing charged ludes before and they seem to move. how reliable are they supercharged with just some basic mods like h/i/e, for daily driving etc?
As reliable as anything else. I think the JRSC does 6psi and 10psi with the different pulley. 6psi really doesn't kill the reliability of the engine. It'll be fine.
Get a good header and exhaust though to get maximum gains.

If you're going to supercharge it, I would highly recommend getting a base model opposed to the SH. I have a turbo SH and ATTS does NOT like boost at all.
You might also want to consider going the turbo route too. It's cheaper, and you'll make more power at 6psi on the turbo than you would at 6 psi on the supercharger. I would consider the turbo to be more reliable and easier on your engine because it will have a much cooler intake charge if you use an intercooler. The JR supercharger has no way to cool the intake charge, so it's like strapping a blow dryer on your engine
