anyone has painted their rims? i need advice please

Default anyone has painted their rims? i need advice please

i have a 97 prelude, and i have seen many ppl painted their stock rims black or gun metal, and i have always wanted to know how they do it, and if there is anyone out there has done it, can you please tell me how to do it, procedure and what type of paint you used. i appreciate your help

They strip the wheel down. Use acetone or whatever.....sand, primer, and use i believe some sort of high temp paint. Its a tedious process i believe. There are articles on here - i'll do a search for you.

Im doing it right now. I stripped the wheel with Aircraft srtipper and now am waiting for the wheels to dry before painting.

Go to autozone.....just get some acetone - i believe you can find both at autozone....i know you can find acetone - not sure about the other thing.

you can purchase aircraft remover at almost any hardware (home depot) or auto store (pep boys)
