could it be a loose ground somewhere? same thing happened to me a while ago, and come to find out that my ground by the tranny was loose. it wouldn't crank at all or anything before we figured it out.

it is a power problem.... check all of your grounds, had a ground loose once and it did the same thing...
Do you have a volt meter???

i have checked all grounds and all are tight . I did notice something though . When i turn the key over the light to audio and ac/heater section go blank. all other interior funtions still light up . I am dumb founded.
jump battery voltage to the solenoid terminal (the one that plugs in to the starter solenoid, small wire not big heavy gauge).
If the motor turns over you got an open between ignition switch and solenoid, or you ignition switch is ****.
Oh yeah what year is the car anyways?
If nothing happens, check for voltage at the big terminal. Check the fuses.

check all the fuses. check all grounds and starter. get number 4 cyl in tdc and open up the distributor and see if the metal thing is pointing to number 4 if not switch it around. other then that i have no idea.

You do know that the main relay is for the fuel pump, right? It has nothing to do with power to the starter.

run a jumper wire (18-22ga) straight from the +battery nipple to the starter..
you can use the female splice to slide onto the male, and run that wire to the battery..
