Winter Rim Question
Considering that I presume they are a painted alloy wheel, they should be ok. If (However) the paint was chipped anywhere and the alloy itself is exposed, it could start a corroding process which would continue to lift paint as it spread.
It's really a 50/50 proposition.
A good many motorheads buy a set of winter rims w/tires (usually steel wheels with M&S Tires mounted) for the winter. The good rims/tires sit in the garage until Spring.

I would just find a set of steelies and then buy some snow tires.
When I had my 95 Accord, I bought a set of 98 Accord steel 15" rims off ebay for like 50 shipped or something, it was really cheap. Then I bought some Hankook snow tires which weren't expensive and did great. Unfortunately I totalled the car and sold the rims/tires. I sold them to JakeIsCool and he ran them for one winter and recently sold them to Athiest who is running them now. They have both said the tires are good in the winter.
On my hatch now I run a set of steelies and Dunlop snow tires. I really like driving on snow tires in the winter time.
