If my main relay is bad will it cause the fuel pump and ecu not to come on. I've tried 3 diffrent used main relays and you have to bet on them for them to kick on but they wont stay on. So do i just need to buy a new one or what ? Any suggestions or answers to my problem?

 

iv had my fuel not work or my ecu because my wiring harness was loose.

go around your engine bay and push on all the harness over by the passengers side where it comes out of the ecu

 

If the relay is bad, it may not kick on the fuel pump, however will not effect the ECU.

If your ECU doesn't have power (light should light up when keyed on) -that is problem 1. Bad ecu, or bad wire/ground. Check all grounds first. If your ECU doesn't get power, then the next steps of relay/pump are never getting a signal to even turn on -solve ECU problem first.

 

I replaced mine with used one. This does done better job. My main relay
is open to access so I can tab or swing momentarially if it the car does not
start.

i finally found one that works but i also found a ground wire right behind the starter close to the fire wall but cant figure out were it gose i guess i could just ground it any where right. it just has a o ring on the end.
