A rear sway bar is a better option, IMO.

How much you looking to spend?

Your options span from TL-S/CL-S, and Comptech TL to ones such as Eibach, and Neuspeed.

Honda reports the '01 4cyl Accord is equipped with a 17mm rear sway bar

and a 27.5mm Front Anti-Sway Bar

You will see a handling improvement only by replacing these with heavier (bigger diameter) units.

ST seems to be the low budget way to do it.

i brought a 500miles/used TL-S front and rear sway bar with all the mount and bushing for 40 bucks off ebay.

he also give me his TL-S springs also

the guy sold me upgraded to comptech, he's pretty happy about them also

i think the LX do come with both front and rear from the factory, unlike 5th or older generation of accord.

Ironically, swapping in a V6 Chassis Sway-Bars doesn't make much difference. refer below. The Front bar gets a 0.7mm Diameter Increase, the rear remain the same.

2001 2Dr LX/EX V6 Front Bar: #1 27.2mm Diameter

http://www.hondaautomotivepart...R+ARM

2001 2Dr LX/EX I4 Front Bar: #1 26.5mm Diameter
http://www.hondaautomotivepart...R+ARM

2001 2Dr LX/EX V6 Rear Bar: #3 17.0mm Diameter
http://www.hondaautomotivepart...R+ARM

2001 2dr LX/EX I4 Rear bar: #3 17.0mm Diameter

If you want difinitive improvements in handling, you'll have to think in line of Suspention Techniques Aftermarket Sway Bars.

There are as many opinions on strut bars as there are contributors. They can tighten up the unibody structure and help control twist. They were (however) designed for that purpose for cars like Camaros, Firebirds and Mustangs with Longitudnally mounted (Front-back) mounted engines where engine torque twisted the body and often raised the left front tire during hole-shots. The same forces aren't apparent on our Honda's (however) because the engine's mounted Traversely, and the torque acts front-back, not side to side.
If you deside to mount one, find the straightest and heaviest one you can. Any curvature and it will bend like a bow and have no effect
.

Well, Unless you're proficient in bending tubing and fabricating, have access to a Mig Welder, a Plasma Torch, Bench Grinder, a Drill Press and about ten (10) hours of time to spare; just buy one!

generally, a rear sway bar will help more than a front sway bar...getting the rear to rotate so that you don't understeer as much has always been the biggest factor in our heavy *** front wheel drive plows...an upgraded front sway bar will only increase understeer which doesn't help the situation much...

as far as strut tower braces...they do help, but marginally (you should notice a difference however)...neuspeed makes the best one for 5th gens that i know of, but i'm not sure if they make one for the 6th gens or not...again, stiffening the rear will help quite a bit in rotation and roll...

OptAuto has the Eibach strut bar for an I4 on clearance for $45. It fits the V6, too.

If I had the money, I'd definitely get a Comptech strut bar. It bolts up to the firewall, and is quite sturdy.

Now, in terms of sway bars, you can get the TL-S/CL-S for around $50, and the Comptech TL for about $100.

It's Eibach. You won't be disappointed.

i have a neuspeed front and rear sway bar and the handling is much better then before, got them both at the same time tho, but with the accord having all the weight in the front, unless u have speakers or something heavy between the back tires, i would say go with a couple of cheaper sway bars then 1 expensive one. Expensive is not always better...i had the ractive ones in there before i got the neuspeed ones and it was still lots better then stock
