i may be getting a 93 Del Sol Si next week (hopefully) and been thinking either swapping in a B16 or a LS (then later doing a LS/Vtec conversion). right now the car is an automatic which it will prolly stay that way so the g/f can drive it every now and then without me worrying about the clutch, plus i let my mom drive my current del sol every now and then, back on topic. if i were to swap in the B16 motor what automatic tranny could i swap in if i cant find a B16 w/ an auto tranny already with it. and the same thing for the LS motor. which i take it would be easier to get a auto tranny for it. ive searched but these painkillers are making me a little dizzy to keep searching after 2hrs. The quickes auto tranny to find would be a ls. Im not sure if they made a auto gsr tranny.

 

they did make a auto GSR tranny

 

is the gsr auto tranny a hard find? i may just stick with the B16A so its either between the ls tranny and gsr tranny

 

any b series tranny will bolt up so just get the cheapest one....

put in search del sol roll cage ! the del that will come up has a 8 point cage and car for the dirt for sale !! :

 

A jdm 5 speed auto tranny not offered to US! but they did make it ! if Im going N/A I would do the b16 auto tranny for the shorter gears then the gsr long gears! thats just me !!
