ZC trans 2 piece axle?
Sup guys. I had a zc motor and trans in my ef. I blew the motor. I picked up a 92-95 dx motor from a kid on here. i noticed on the zc there is a 2 piece driver side axle. the part that bolts to the motor on the zc doesnt have a place to bolt up to on the dx. do i need to use the 2 piece? i have spare axles from a 90 dx that i can use if they'd fit. anyone know? thanks.
hmm, i thought of that too, but if u look at the block, it doesnt have like a raised spot where i can drill. there the bolt goes on the zc, its recessed on the dx. ill take pics tomorrow and post them if i have to. i was just hoping someone had done this kind of thing before.
Why are you going from a ZC to a DX motor? A6's are cheap man, and you dont need anything extra with it, it will all swap over. Did you have a SOHC or DOHC? If you had a SOHC it would be basically the same thing if you found an A6.

i blew my zc motor and i just needed something to get me by. I had a dohc-zc. i guess i'll have to show u pics of the bolt holes i was talkin about. maybe i'm just not seeing it the right way. ill have some up tomorrow. thanks for all the help so far
Pm replied. Here are those pics i was talking about. hope this will help clear stuff up.

That is the ZC block, notice the three bolt holes for the 2-piece axle.

There is the shaft being put up to the block.

DX motor. only one hole.

again the axle up to the block. notice no where for the other holes to line up.

this is what i was referring to when i said the zc block had a raised spot for the bolt holes.

and this is the dx, without the raised area.
well, with all those pics, anyone have any suggestions?
