How can you tell? Is it 5mph off at all speeds, or is the inaccuracy proportional to speed? What car do you have and what size are your current tires?

Up to 5mph inaccuracy can be normal under certain circumstances.

I saw it on a speed checker thanks to the glendale police when I pass by there it would read 40 but my speedo would read 35 and I'm only on 14's from a prelude.
