How much power do d16z motors make with i/h/e ?
Just curious to how much power do d16z motors make, the sohc vtec motor, because my friend is saying that he has 130whp and al he has is i/h/e. and what are they rated at stock? I'm an integra guy so I know alot more about the b-series motors. thanks.

D16Z6 make 126hp, SOHC do not take bolt-ons very well. Gains with bolt-ons are very minimal.

Exactly, with just I/H/E he would be somewhere around 145-150 HP at the crank, that's a 25HP gain over stock with those items. I don't know about that.
Ask for a dyno plot. Maybe he means 130HP, not 130WHP.

I'd be surprised to see an 11 year old motor that made 126hp at the crank when it was brand new make anywhere near 130 at the crank with some bolt ons today.

mine made 120 at wheels W/ 200,000 miles, i/h/e, no p/s pump,comp
so 130 whp stock otherwise, sounds optimistic at best. fully blueprinted, build ITA
motor only makes that or just above

The average hp gain with I/H/E combined is 11hp. Considering the d16z6 dynos at about 105 whp, I am guessing that his motor is realistically around 115 whp, and even possibly near 120 whp if the engine is healthy and the aftermarket components are top-notch.

130hp sounds right, not 130whp though.
Bolt ons for Ds should be for the sound, spending the extra money for 1 hp just isn't worth it unless you go turbo... in which case you lose the intake and headers all together.

D16Z6's make 125hp at crank stock.
My Z6 made 120hp to the wheels on a Dyno Jet 248. that was with a short ram, LS TB, port matched IM, gutted cat, Apex N1, and no PS. Also the motor had a stock rebuild and had 10,000 miles since then.
so 130whp is quite a joke with just i,h,e
