arite today i was driving and when i shift from 1st to 2nd i felt sumthing snapped, then my shifter got wobbly. then i realize i couldnt get the car into gear no more....well the shift linkage broke the casing of my tranny.....has any1 or kno sum1 who experienced this? and yea i need a new tranny so sum1 help. BTW my car is a 90 integra RS wit 72k miles. here are the pics...

assuming he had a b17a w/ b17 tranny thats not the easiest of tasks to accomplish

 

nah its an S1 tranny..and did u read....i didnt break it from bottoming out it broke it from shifting/

ok, for one it wouldnt break just from shifting, i dont care how hard you shift. your car is too low, you have bottomed out too many times, thus causing a crack, and your improper shifting methods were the nail in the coffin

Ah ha, so it was caused by shifting.

Don't do this. JB weld is only for mild stuff. Get another case and swap over the internals.

 

wow thats a big hole!!! eh some JB WELD would fix that right up

 

looks bad, just get a new housing at you local HONDA and switch it out.

exact same thing happen to my buddy's car.. your car probably too low and that part has been hitting the ground and started a crack and it about time that it broke off. my buddy was driving.. and shifted and tranny fluid was all over the ground and the shifter was loose.

yea but the car has bottomed out alot...so i guess thats the case too.
