Looking at a 96 rs
I am looking buying an integra and i have my eye on a 96 rs. Its in excellent shape, was never winter driven and has 48000 miles. I can get it for 5k, is it worth that much?
steep!!! you should be able to get that car for much less... the only thing holding the price up is the 48000 miles... you should be able to find most other '96s for around 3-5 grand...
Yeah but this car is rust free because it was never winter driven. Any other 96 around here is rusted out cause of all the salt they use on the roads here. I dont know, i think i might go for it. I was also looking at 2000 a gsr but the seller of that car is hard to deal with, hes had the car for sale for almost a year now and thinks the price he is asking is thousands under what its worth(yet it hasnt sold in a year). He actually raised his asking price since i showed interest in the car.
I gotta agree with the others here.. 5 grand is just a little too much for a 96 RS... I sure if you wait a little longer you could always find something cheaper... Thats how buying a car is you just have to wait till the car you want shows up... and that 2000 GSR owner is just stupid (trying to put this in the nicest way I could) but I have met people like him... In fact that one 98 240SX owner still has his S14 till now and that was over 2 years ago... There will always be people like that so just don't worry about it that much... But best advice I could give you is either try to talk to the owner of the 96 into a lower price or just wait for another one to show.
rs's generally have pretty low blue book value. compared to ls's , gsrs etc. that sounds pretty high to me.
u get what u pay for , to make a stock rs into a teg comparable w/ a stock gsr youll have to drop a lot of cash.. jus pick up a 94-95 gsr or se, or a nice ls in good cond. for 4-5k. itd be worth a drive to pick up a car like that if there arent many cars in ur area. and obd2 ( 96) will be less friendly to boltons w/ a stock ecu than a 94-95. plus those years(96-97) dont have the nicer bumpers that 98+ come with and they have obd2. weaksauce
go for 4k if ya got ur heart set on it... but youd be way happier w/ a 94-95 gsr w/ like 100k on it IMHO

I dont know what to do. I want a fast car so i would have to spend a lot of money to make the rs go fast. I also really want leather interior and all the options. I will probably just hold off and wait on at least a gs if the right deal comes but hopefully i can find a nice gsr around here.
If i could get the rs for more like 4k i would hop on that deal though.
