Default Brake question: Hawk HPS vs. HP+

I have the HPS right now and they are great. But they are due for a replacement. I was wondering if anyone has real-world experience with the HP+ with respect to:

1. Cold (initial) bite
2. Warmed up bite
3. Dust
4. Noise

I can't imagine them being more dusty than the HPS (dusty as hell!).

Thanks.

The HP+ pads are quite noisy. If that is a concern of yours, stay away. However, I've been told that the cold bite is quite good, and it only gets better as the pads heat up.

I'm very happy with the HPS pads on my Celica and simply run race pads when I get to the track. That way I don't have to worry about noise on the street, nor cooking my pads on the track.

It sounds weird, but I run HPS pads up front, and HP+ pads in the rear on my daily driven integra. I love the cold bite of both pads, and with this staggered setup, the feel is amazing. The rears out dust the front, but noise seems to be minimal with both pads in my experience.

HP+ on integra: very dusty but probably not too worse than HPS, bearable noise, decent cold bite, excellent warmed up bite.

I have HPS on my car now and the extra dust on my wheels is noticeable when compared to OEM pads.

hps suck... i eat those things up pretty fast.... and they fade.. i hate that ****.

hp+ are a little shitty when they are very cold, but warm up quickly, hardly ever fade on the street and i could give a **** about noise, my car is so loud i wouldnt hear it if they did make noise... dust... i dont ever look at my wheels so i dunno

FWIW, I went with the HP+.

1. Cold bite: About the same vs. HPS
2. Warm up bite: About 30% better than HPS
3. Dust: Same
4. Noise: Can't tell the difference (street driving)
