the head is pretty much plug-n-play with any B-series honda motor (gsr, ls, type r, b20, etc) except for the older prelude blocks.

a b16 in a eg cx (lightest, right?) sounds like fun

No, you are wrong.
#1 search 96-97 del sol vtec dohc, its a b16a2 (ie. http://theserviceadvisor.com/p....html)
#2 search any place selling jdm engines and you'll see that the sirII eg had a b16a2
(ie. http://www.teknotik.com/produc...id=37)

No... damnit.

The b16a2 ONLY CAME IN THE 99-00 USDM CIVIC SI and Canadian SiR.

94 (or was it 96?)-97 Del Sol VTEC was b16a3.

JDM engines are b16a SiR/SiR II

The only JDM engine with a number on the end was the b16a1... and it's the only one I can't recall what car it came in.

Why do you feel the need to insult Canadians? Me being Canadian has nothing to do with you being wrong in this thread, so there is no point to your comments about that.
What makes me laugh is that while I am out with friends on a Friday night you are arguing about b16's, lol.

Anyways, from 96-97 del sol's had b16a2's. Search and you will find lots of proof, just like the website I already linked.

In regards to the jdm b16, why is teknotik selling b16a2's from an eg if that is not the code?

peace.

people have said things but have not posted proof. i have posted links to substantate my claims.

i'm not saying that b16a3's didn't come in del sol's, but for the last two years of production (96-97) the engine in the dohc vtec del sol's had the code b16a2.

ok "homie" how about you do a search.
Try this:
1) Go to http://www.google.com
2) Type "1996-1997 del sol b16a2"
3) Press "enter" key
4) View search results, specifically the sections relating to 96-97 del sol's of the dohc vtec trim level.
5) Realize that you and numerous other people on this thread got !!!PWNT!!!

The b16a3 came in the Del sol VTEC. Go look it up.

Yes it's th same 160 hp/111 ft lbs, same displacement, same bore/stroke, etc. It's a different OBD level.

but now that I'm looking back and researching it more I'm not seeing it. Incomplete reference lists suck.
