i have an std motor and am thinking about doing the mini-me swap....i just wanted some ifo about it.....horsepower...torque...the norm ya know....aynways. what all do i need??? which head is better....the y8 or the z6....and finally is it worth doing to this stock std motor....??? any info will be appreciated. thanks. also if any pics...post them.

 

well the torque and HP depend on the parts you use to build it in my opinion a Z6 is way better that this swap but if u really want to do it u need a vtec head and a non vtec block ive heard the Z6 head flows better but havent had a chance to find out but the Y8 intake mani. is better than the Z6

 

Do a search these topics have been covered many times. Good luck with your build, I just built one with PM7 pistons, (DOHC ZC). Used a z6 head runs pretty strong, very high compression with those pistons.
