code 71

hey, my dads getting a code 71 which is random misfire in cylinder 1. what are some possibilities that can cause this code?

spark plug...plug wire.....injector stuck open....dizzy cap and rotor? ecu possibly? something with smog equipment i can keep going man

valves may be fucked up? would bent valves cause this? what kinda car is it?
