my horn isn't working, where is the fuse to change it? or, what could it be... it just stoped honking, i can hear a click when i push the buttons, but there's no horn... thanks guys

 

ok i did a search, and found some interesting information to troubleshoot, but i still don't know where my horn fuse is located, can someone tell me?

 

Fuse for horn is the same as for your breaklights. Look on the underhood fuse box. It is labeled "Stop" I believe.

so if my fuse is blown, then neither my horn nor my break lights would be working?... any other info on how to solve my little canundrum?

Correct, but the horn fuse isn't labled 'stop'. It's simply labeled 'horn'. If memory serves, it's a 30amp.

 

thank you, but if it's not the fuse what else should i check to make this thing work... i actually never use it... but i'd like to have it regardless lol

If it's not the fuse, it's the wiring. The horn is located under your bumper, it's a round circular object that is attached the 'metal bumper under the bumper cover on the passenger side. Make sure it's plugged in and what not.

If it is, you're going to have to find the mistake in the wiring throughout the car.

 

it's plugged in, i added jdm city lights and i had checked all the wiring to and around the city lights before i put the bumper back on, i'll recheck it though just in case (in the morning) last questiong...

when i push either of the horn buttons i hear a clicking, like it's grounding... do you think that the horn is just shot, i mean i went from sunny san diego to the raining bay area and water might have had an affect on it...?

Basically, how the horn normally works is the horn is always 'hot'. Pressing either of the buttons just completes the circuit by grounding it. I would take off the horn and test it first, before you rule out that it's broke.

 

On mine the sheet inside the fuse box does say "stop".

Exactly, if it;s not the fuse try jumping the horn to see if the horn actually works before you start with the wiring.

And trust me, the wiring will be a hassle. The wiring runs through the cable reel, and through the SRS system, and from there I have no clue. Good luck.

 

lol if it's that bad i think i'll just use it as an excuse to get the jdm momo wheel... and pretend that the jdm wheel doesn't have a horn... yes... pretend...
