Default REVIEW of the RMF header and JDM Twinloop Mugen catback.

First of all thanks to Iggy and import power house for the exhaust and header.
So when I got all my parts I decided to throw them on. Fitment for the RMF header was crap. To put on, I had to cut shroud of the fan, no biggie. The part that really pissed me off was that it was touching the casing of the clutch. So I called IPH and they told me just to trim the aluminum cover. I had to remove the header take the piece off, it had like 4 or six bolts I can't remember. Took it to a shop and trimmed a edge off just like they said. Then I reinstalled the header and installed my Twinloop with a smaller cat. After all that I find that the A-pipe from the header doesn't align up, it was angled to the left of the cat. So I got an extra pipe welded on to the cat to mate it with the header and I had to install the flex pipe after the resonator of the mugen B-pipe. When I first turned the car on the beautiful perrrr of the exhaust and header was well worth the trouble. Now for the Butt dyno, in lower RPMs it doesn't feel much different, maby a little stronger. But man does it pull harder in the higher RPMs, it kind of scared me at first. Overall very satisfied with the outcome, but very unsatisfied with the fitment of the RMF header, to think paying that much money I would get a product that would fit better.

will have pics up soon cameras battery is dead.

Cliffs: RMF header + Mugen twinloop= , but fitment of the RMF was crap, had to modify way too much just to install a header.

No dyno or pics=no care! J/K

Congrats on the purchase mang. BTY, with my Hytech header I also had to modify the flywheel brace. However, for the extra ground clearance, I'm not complaining.

how is ground clearance of the header? i've heard alot of cases of the headers touching the tranny case and having to use a slim fan. did you get the jet coated version?

clearence is great, no need to spend 40 bucks or something for a slim fan, just trim the left part of the shroud and your all good. Yeah I got the jet coated one. I'll take some pics with my NEW SAMSUNG A920 CAMERA PHONE, 1.3 megapixls bioches, for all those who need pics. Unfortunatly I don't have a before dyno chart and my pockets are kind of hurting as of now so no new dyno charts for a while also .

for all who buys a header like a Hytech or RMF, just get a hold of a GSR tranny bracket and flywheel shield. They just bolt right in like stock and no need to grind you Type R parts....

mugen TL is not 2.5" all the way, the section before the resonator is quite a bit smaller. unless you modified yours

Yeah I was pretty pissed with the fitment as well. I ended up buying a slim fan anyways. I remember asking questions about if the header would clear the stock shroud. My response: (someone from Italy) "It fits, just let the heat from the header burn the shroud so it's and even space where it cannot contact" Might I add that's the most retarded feedback I've ever received. Anyways, EK_Jeremy wanted pics, these are the ones I have for now. I still need to take some for Randy to look at the hole clearance issue. BTW Jeremy, I'm running a flex pipe, with a custom test pipe.

I installed the RMF on my EUDM ITR and no tranny bracket or flywheel shield problem.

The only mods are a little cut on the fan chassis and I had to loosen the 02 sensor wire in the engine bay to reach the RMF bung.

RMF it is a great header!!!

Hey you guys if something is not right tell me about. You don't have to get on here and say stuff like this .Everytime somebody has said something was wrong. Its been a misunderstanding or something easily fixed.Or even the wrong header .

On the tranny brase..I don't know of ONE custom header that has any ground clearence that will clear that brase. Its all the way over there for a reason.CLEARENCE.

I know you guys like to keep all your peeps informed .I just hate to see negative stuff about my headers when its something thats easily solved. Cool?

Hauls *** though ,HUH? LOL

Anyway you know how to get ahold of me next time OK? Have fun .You know the saying...Drive it like ya stole it.

Randy, no disrespect, I've had a few pm's about fitment etc, im just telling them what issues I had with the installation. I've been meaning to send you photos of where the header is coming in contact, I remember talking to you about it but I've been so busy to take the pictures. Don't get me wrong! We have exchanged quite a few pm's the header is amazing from the welds to how much crazier the mid-range top end is now. I was pissed because I'm not going to go cut away at my case just so it fits right.

No disrespect to your header, but the I had fitment issues. I called IPH and they said to just cut off a piece of the casing. There was also another issue too. But I took care of that. I'm loving the power gain though . As for pictures, I can't upload my cell phone pictures and I'm being too lazy to go out and buy some batteries for my digicam. I guess I'll get to it soon.

mugen TL didnt even come with full 2.5" and is very quiet.. so i guess it's for street.
i modified b-pipe to 2.5" so it's now full 2.5 but..
yeah i wanted to have good performace and not too loud
