Clutch Question
I posted this problem on H-T about a month ago, but never recieved a helpful response...here goes nothin'
When I engage the clutch from a standstill in first (and the car begin's to move forward), there is a faint "squeak" as the car moves while I am engaging.
My clutch is from ACT. I'm wondering if it may be a sign that the clutch is beginning to go? I'm at a loss...

Are you sure it's not the contact point of where the clutch cable pushes on the release arm? Does it do it in neutral or when the car is off?
If it does try throwing some grease on this point. It will be behind the black boot on the front of the tranny.
I know a few years ago my clutch would squeal when I took off from a stop, wasn't really a squeak but a squeal. (Sounded like belts). Turns out it was the flywheel was glazed, never has happened since. I suppose yours could be the same thing but not nearly as bad.

I had no idea. My first instinct was that maybe the clutch was beginning to go and that was a sign.
I won't take the issue seriously i guess since so many of you have the same situation.
thanks for the response.
