run a new wire? I have a short on the wire that connect from the vtec solenoid to the end of the harness.

I'm looking for clean and relatively simple. I was going to cut the wire (green/yellow) and solder a new one from end to end. Will that hold up in the engine compartment?

It should be fine as long as the connections are good. I had to extend some wires when I swapped and I just soldered on some more wire and then neatly taped over the connections. They haven't caused me any problems since I did them.

 

put it through through the firewall where the ac lines go...and solder and use heat srink insulated wire.
