ef project plans to include eg/ls...
hey everybody, I plan on doing an ef hatch project asap. soon as I get a donor chassis. right now I have a 4dr eg(5spd) with 95 ls swap, and a rolled 91 std civic hatch(4spd)(parts car).
Of course I want to use my 95 ls motor in the ef, and I know the hydro trans has to be swapped out for a cable one.
well to get to the point what all can i swap over from my eg to a ef?
i would like to do a complete wire harness swap to keep obd1, any difficulties with this swap, besides fuse box and batterey relocation?
or backdate to a 91 ls ecu?
i would like to keep as much of my upgraded eg stuff as possible, brakes suspension, seats radiator etc... i know it would be easier to get a eg hatch, but the the boxy retro style of an ef is calling me...

Items that can be yoinked from the EG
- Motor
- Transmission
- ECU
- Wire harness FOR CLIPS
- Rear discs if there
- Seats with some fab work
- Radiator if you lean it back a bunch or if you have an Aftermarket Front Crossmember
Items that can not be yoinked
- Suspension beyond rear discs
- That includes your front Brakes
- Wire harness to swap over directly
You can keep the hydro transmission, get Hasports Hydro - Cable swap kit.
