how much money in your cars?
How much money do you guys have invested in your cars? I just did my suspention. It looks like the body is going to need new metal all around. I am also planning on putting in a B16 motor. Just trying to get an idea of what its going to run me to do all of this.

Mostly stock, so including the price of the car and fixing some things that tend to break over time, like 2500 (it's mint though). Planning on putting in about 1500 over the next year for mpfi, engine, manual, ladida. You'll be in it much deeper than me, though I know of a b16 swap for sale near me for 1200 bucks.

HAHAHAHA WERD. I counted up all the parts and labor and couldnt believe my eyes
But I guess it was worth it, since it was for my EF.

Was looking at my CRX spreadsheet last night and for a street suspension, B18b swap, Rota's, tires, EX front, new pads, shoes, and replace everything worn, going past $10k not including the cost of the car. Check my garage (link in sig).
Starting on a small turbo setup and have almost everything...another $3k so far.

i bought a 90 hatchback Si for $650 and it came with I/H/E, fluidyne radiator, FAL fan, Act clutch kit and a blown dohc ZC. It just needs a bit of paint but body is mint and interior is clean too except for a worn spot on the driver's seat.
Then i bought the Dohc ZC longblock for $550 and tokico blues for $230 and some cheap coilovers for $50 and 4 Azenis for $230 and like 70 bucks for fluids and stuff.
So total spent for a DOHC ZC swapped Si was about $1800.

12,000 to 14,000.
Funny enough, book value is around 1500 i wouldn't sell it for less than 10,000... it's worth that to me, even though it's just a 1990 crx si with very few comfort options... it's my toy.

i agree i payed $500 for the car and now with all the parts including the car cost im about 3000 invested in it and counting but I LOVE IT

im 2500 into my crx so far and i havent even insured and registered it yet... i still got alot to go tho 2000+ on paint 1500+ on turbo setup i want and god knows how much on everything else i want for it... i dont even know where to start cuz there is so many things i want
