it wont, you have to re-bend it. i only know of ONE company that makes a CAI for a car with a swapped motor and thats ICEMAN

ROFL! I thought you wanted info on those particular intakes. And yes, they are $$$, pretty much why I don't have one either. The DA intakes will fit with a little trimming, I believe. I have an intake for a DA and an EF, I'm going to try them in my CRX soon and see what works out best. I'm sure others have plenty of info.

DA intakes dont work without moving the battery. I tried, i cut it, tried to re-bend it (unsuccessful at re-bending).

i was thinking about relocating the battery down and right above the tranny.... witha smaller battery and custom made box... so anything that would fit produce some gains and not pillage my pocket would be freakign awsome

So you don't have to run 17 feet of wire to the back of the car.

they do it for a reason, it helps with turning due to better weight distrobution. lowering it wont help you

Replacing it with a lighter battery and lowering the center of mass of the car won't help?

no, because the weight is still resting on that side, if you relocate it you get way better distrobution

I know Domestic guys do because it adds weight over the rear wheels.

I really don't think people put it back there to help with turning. I know I moved mine back there because it was in the way, turning was not even a though.

a stock battery weighs upwards of 40lbs, that 40lbs is hanging over the passenger side of the car, when you turn right that side will dip more then when you turn left, its better weight distrobution when you move it to the back

Yeah and 40lb over the front wheels on a fwd car is not bad.

How many people relocate the battery because there auto crossing, not a lot.

40lbs distrobuted EVENLY over the front wheels is not bad, a lopsided 40lbs over one side can affect turning greatly. look at how much dip you see on a right turn vs a left turn in autocrossing pix

My whole point is , 98% of the people that relocate it, do not auto cross .
