Default d16y8 into EF (AGAIN)

Car: 1990 Si
Donor: 1996 D16Y8, tranny, axles
My car has NO engine, transmission, axles OR ecu right now. Mounts aren't a problem. Which axles can I use (the '96's?) I'm going with a P28 ecu. what wiring differences are there to convert to the P28 ecu? I have to use the stock Si harness for it. I want to keep the engine INTACT (no d16z stuff). I've looked around and can't seem to get straight answers about the 6th to 4th gen swap.
Thanks, Overkll

Contact Blown90hatch for a plug and play harness.

It's the same as a d16z6 swap. I have it on my car. You can't use the y8's tranny. You use a 4gen civic or crx tranny, so you use a 4gen civic or crx axles. Mine's converted to obd0 so i use the Si distributor and '88-89 integra ecu.

Do a search on this topic... there's a lot about it 'cause marked001 and a few others were helpful in their replies.

Thanks for the help guys. I have been researching this ALOT. I guess my problem was going to be the transmission. I'm not paying $250 to use the Y8 tranny. Too bad I already sold my other motor. Oh well, I'll have to stick with the B16 swap Overkll
