Got smacked today.. need new door and might shave molding? need info
hey i got hit today and not sure if my door will be able to get popped out.... but i will have to replace the moldings if i use my doors.. i dont want to have to get new ones but might.. if i do .. i want to shave the molding.. how would you do that.. is it bondo over the holes.. or sheetmetal. them..

what would door run?/ how much.. they are alot i think.. would it be worth it to run it through the insurance.. have to pay a higher premium or try and fix it myself? What you think.... plus.. if i get the insurance to do it.. will i be able to have the shop shave and seal?
dont shave them...I did it on my old car and u get all these door dings and u will have a funny gap between ur fender and ur car where the trim went
i see... you get dings from when ppl open their doors and you had the molding to protect it.. i guess the best thing would be to either get the matching moldings from the Ex... or get the basic black and have them painted... i just am hoping i can use my door.. that the dent isnt to bad...
