the service manual depends on which car u have. i have a 93 del sol si with a b series swap.. so i got the service manual for a 94 del sol (cuz that's when the vtec del sol first showed up.) if you have an ek.. then obviously the 99 civic manual would be a better choice (because of the si.) just so u know.. when i had my jdm b16, not all the parts were compatible with a 94 vtec del sol. in particular, the alternator and alternator belt were from a 91 integra (because it was an sirI.) anyway.. regarding the oil filter.. if you're at a honda dealer.. ask for the 94 vtec del sol...if you happen to be closer to an acura dealer.. ask for the 95 integra gsr. that's a good guideline.. even though there are alot of other hondas that use the same filter.

guess what? Pretty sure that all honda oil filters are the same.

from my stock dx motor, to my gsr motor, to my friends b16 motor to my other friends f22b motor, they are all the same part number

What distributor does the SiR take anyway? I'm having a hard time finding one.

Just to clear it up 84 to present Accords, 88 to 2000 Civics and 83 to present Preludes use the same filter. As do most Acura's except big bodies (Legend for example)

you'll find most of the parts at http://www.hasport.com in their swap tech pages. i believe it calls for a 90 integra distributor/cap
thx for the replies everyone!

Just because it takes an Integra cap, doesn't mean the distributor will work. Everyone I've talked to says you HAVE to run a JDM B16A1 distributor. Not easy to find in the states.

You'd be better of using a 92-93 Integra GSR if you live closer to an Acura dealer. The B17A and B16A are nearly identical except for standard USDM/JDM differences and a different crank and rods. I can vouche for this first hand as I just swapped out a B17A to install a 2nd gen B16A.
