Well if all of your aftermarket parts from the cat and up have their Carb stickers, then you will pass the visual inspection. The rest really depends on the car.

If your car is runing good it will pass with aftermarket i/h/e.

edit: just to make shure i would get some of that fuel system cleaner, that helps alittle.

so the aftermarket headers doesnt increase ur chances of failing, therefore the stock header doesnt give u better chance to pass?

nope...i smogged with aem cai, skunk2 IM, dc4-2-1, high flow cat and apexi n1 cat back system...I passed with no problems. They only looked to see if the aftermarket parts had carb numbers...that was it

no, use the stock one, unless it is a good highflow cat. Is is a test pipe or like a magnaflow highflow cat? Dose it have a catilist?

haah damn stop tripping everything is carb exempt, im a smog tech here in cali, and if ur car is running decent and ur cat isnt shot ur fine. most of the time cars come in with no name intakes and its up to the smog tech to pass it or fail it, i pass it. but thats me.

headers wont make you fail man, unless you dont got the o2 sensors hooked up/no cat converter.

Some smog techs won't even touch the car if it has any modifications done to it at all, regardless of whether they are CARB exempt or not. My setup was completely legal when I went to get it smogged, but when they popped the hood, they immediately failed it without even looking at the CARB numbers.

Make sure the tech passes you on visual before you even hook it up to the rollers. Ask before you agree to paying any fees. An aftermarket header doesn't effect emissions. Just make sure your O2 sensor is in good working order. Also, double check that the car has the stock injectors, ECU, airbox and catalytic. Sounds like the car may have a couple more mods than you know of. Most racers swap out the header last, after ECU, injector and airbox upgrades.

You may want to even check the BAR's website to see if your parts are legit. They have a feature that you can verify your carb #'s in there. Try it. heres the link.

I passed with I/H & High flow cat, and mine was also a DC... A bad cat will fail you though.

yeah, i got it out about 1 week ago, but i had to agree to pay them to take out my tranny and lose my transmission, so i had to pay the impound 1300+ cash juss to take my car out.. then towed it home, now its sitting infront of my house with no tranny... now gotta buy a tranny and install it - gonna cost about 600+ if i choose GSR one, so total bill for me is over $2,100.. and thats outta my own pocket been saving up for 3 months for turbo kit and now its all gone, for SOMETHING THAT I DID NOT EVEN DO WRONG.. CAR CAME WITH THE TRANNY , couldnt get a lawyer b/c lawyer cost 1G out the gate, and if i had won, lawyer would get 1/3 percentage, which would equal to the same amount or even more then 2G's b/c car would be sittin in impound for 30 days till court hearing...
