lookin to buy the tranny ASAP!!! anybody sellin one? (socal only please)

 

i got a tranny its a s1 tranny (the one with teh jdm itr final drive)

No grinds at all, has less then 3k US miles on it...

500 firm for it...

im about an hr south from corona..

i forgot, i thought it was an y1...

but the y1 and teh s1 have teh EXACT same gear ration
(itr gears and FD) FYI

Y1's don't have the same gear ratios as a S1. Y1's are shorter geared and they are LSD equip'd.

actually you are wrong and so am i...

y1's have the 4.266 final drive the j1/s1 have the type-r 4.400 final drive..

so the y1, has slightly longer gears then the s1/j1 that have the R final drive..

and as for the lsd, its and option not all y1's have it.

 

I have one also..Y1 no LSD but new 2nd and 3rd syncros...mint..no grinds whatsoever..just rebuilt and never used..going K series.. asking $450 picked up. LMK

nope...

they share the same fd, but the gears are a diff ratio

ls tranny has a 1.269 third, and the y1 has a 1.416 third and so on...

making the y1 third ALOT shorter...

so differences like that make the y1 comparable to the j1/s1

 

i have one off a b16a but i dunno exactly which one it is, gotta go look

if you were reffering to my post 9.5 out of 10...would be an easy 10, but the case was puntured by a rock like 2 years ago..I had to have it ripped apart and rewelded...more cosmetic than anything, but had the snycros changed and gone through at the same time, so it is flawless!~
