Default Guage Cluster Bulb Color

Just wanted to if anybody ever changed their cluster light bulb...i was thinking about changing it to a diff color but dont know which to choose yet...between Red or Blue...i did some search all i can find are the red color but also wanted to see how the blue one look also...can anybody direct me to a site or have a pic???

i have a 90 teg i changed my bulbs,,to orange,,looks like jdm look,,blue wound look cool

Here's a pic of some blue gauges. Sorry it's out of focus but it'll give you an idea of what it looks like. However, the blue lights have now faded and it's back to the normal color.

why did they fade back to normal? also, where can u get different colored bulbs?

My guess is that they were cheap bulbs. They probably had a blue coating on them instead of being blue glass. I haven't taken them out yet to see what happened. I got them at Pep Boys.

i think you can pick it up from ur local shop... 3 bulbs #194 i think..

Changed mine to red. Went to Autozone for my set of 3 bulbs. They are the 194s like stated above.

The install is cake, so no need to worry about that part.

I am in the process on changing mine. I got everything out ECEXPT the wires Behind the Gauges itslef...now How can I do this with the gap being so tight ??????

I was able to rotate the gauge cluster around in the dash so that I could reach behind and pull out the wires.

I did the same thing. I disconnected the wires first tho. However, the clip holding the middle wire is a b*tch to take off. I just unplugged all of the connections and rotated the cluster and took out the bulbs.

good attempt but sorry bro it looks bad. The light dispersion with led's is very narrow, notice the hotspot on the 2 and the rpm needle.

If you go LED's try to aim for led's with a wider angle of dispersion.

DO NOT... i repeat DO NOT buy cheap bulbs from autozone... i did and mine faded to a greenish in 2 months... get LED's from superbrightleds.com, i got the Wled wedge base in blue.. and they are perfect, trust me... if ur bulbs from autozone havent faded yet... they will
