Default Distributor Question

Swapping a y7 with a y8 from a del sol.

the distributor on the d16y8 now does not plug up to the harness plug. will the y7 distibutor work the same or is there a difference?

I dont understand what you mean by the distributer plugs not working with each other, because I think all the plugs on the harness from a d15 engine to a b18c are comatible with one another, there may be a few plugs missing or extra but as far as distributer goes they should fit. But anyway the y7 distributer should fit with no differances.

d15 and b18c are much different than d16y7 and d16y8.

But yeah this is for someone else...I told him to just put the y7 one on and see if it works because it looks like other people have done it

agreed on how different the d15 and b18 are I was just saying the plugs are the same because my distributer went out on my b16 and the d15 distributor worked with a little modification.
