Default hazard light question

is it possible to change your rear hazard lights to be constantly on? (for a temporary fix for no tail lights)

Probably... But why not take the time to fix them instead of doing that and repairing the problem?

Probably find the relay switch and bypass it? Would that work?

I say for safety sake, dont drive your car at night. When daylight hits, take your car to the shop and get it fixed.

Good point. Or just run with your hazards flashing if you must drive at night till you can get it fixed.

thats what ive been doing actually. im trying not to drive around at night, but when it gets dark at 4pm.. its hard not to sometimes.

when i do run at night, i really watch my speed, and i keep the hazards on.. i havent been stopped by any cops yet, so im guessing that its ok? i just feel like a retard having to drive around with my hazards on... in a ITR

but im going to a shop tomorrow morning, so hopefully itll be good to go soon.

Yeah, your in San Diego, it's not a matter of "If" its "When" you get pulled over. If you run with no taillights and hazards on, a cop will use it as an excuse to pull you over and give you as many tickets as possible. I'd get it fixed ASAP.

lol yeah seriously.. yesterday i had to drive up to SDSU for the basketball game.. i took all these sideroads getting to the school. on the way back i tried taking the same roads, but got lost.. and my lucky *** ended up passing like 6 cars surrounding 2 trucks... on the side roads.. so i kept going, and i basically go so lost, i made a huge *** circle and it took my like 20 minutes to get home. sucked.. lol

i figure if i get pulled over ill just say that someone hit me earlier in the day and im taking it to the shop tomorrow morning (which is true) and ill pull out my military id, and hopefully he wont be a dick. lol but the military id has been GREAT for me so far

thats what i was thinkin..
im off to the shop in the morning though, so hopefully theyll find the problem.

so apparently the SD police doesnt care about the taillights being out, as long as i have the hazards on.. cause i swear i saw 20 cops tonight.. one was even right behind until he passed me up..

last update...

took it to the shop this morning. they fixed it. turned out it was a short in the taillights.. he said it was a weird one, cause i already looked there and didnt see anything, and they looked there twice last week.. but they took it all apart today and found it..

all good.

he had it for like 5 hours today, and only charged me 2 1/2 hours..

anyways, thanks everyone for their replies..
