I have finally finshed rebuliding my h23a1 in my 93 si 2.3, my problem is this, I go to start it but it wont start it turns over, now my question is this I have a broken knock sensor would this prevent it from starting? (no gas/spark either) Im very confused at this point since this is my first rebulid Ive ever done, anyone who could help please respond.

 

A bad/unplugged KS would not prohibit start-up.

You need to find out why you are not getting BOTH gas and spark. It's definitely not the KS.

 

any ideas? Ive checked every connection, Im about to go check the computer to see if it is even getting power, but Im curious as to what could be preventing gas/spark

 

main EFI relay will do it, check the check engine light, is it on? if so why? id say check if not replace relays and replace all fuses to the book,

 

or better yet does anyone have a wiring diagram for the 93 prelude si 2.3? it seems that we have no power getting to the ecu...

 

You can buy a book that will have the complete wiring diagrams from http://www.helminc.com....it's not like someone can just give you the wiring diagram.

 

well there was one guy on this site who had the diagram....thats all I have a book, you think I could have just rebulit the motor without it? and be on this site asking for some help? <noob mech....just trying to figure out this last little problem.......then Im done ....and off to test her out....
