Hasport harness for b16 JDM into a 91 civic DX
Can anyone tell me if it is worth or can hasport even make such a harness. I was told to go to hasport and send them my engine harness and they would convert it to multi port injection.
Yes, we do that. Send us you're old DX harness AS WELL AS the B16 harness. I can not stress enough that we need the B16 harness too. Why?
1.)Most importantly, i need certain parts to convert it to multi-point fuel injected. The injector section is a must
2.) I also use that B16 harness for parts to repair your old DX harness. After 15yrs of use and being subjected to underhood temps, alot of your wires become really brittle and hard, often tearing open to exposing raw copper. Torn up wires create more resistance in a circuit, and for a computer that is looking for how much resistance there is in a sensor...torn wires can really mess with things and throw off readings the ecu is getting. Sorry to get all technical.
I also use it to fix busted plugs that we don't carry.
3.) If your going to get a DX harness from a junkyard to send us: please make sure the harness is of the same year. '91 DX hatchback='91 DX hatchback harness. This is because some of the wire locations at the shocktowers vary by year. Getting the harnesses mixed up can mean you won't have reverse lights or in some cases your EACV won't work, throwing codes and making everybody sad that your car doesn't run like it should.
So if you can, send in the old harness from YOUR car.
You can check our website for pricing or call us up @ 602-470-0065 (m-f 9-5) if you have any questions. Turn around is about a week or two, usually sooner than that though. From a racer to a racer: I know that you're spending your hard earned cash with us and I value that trust you put in us. I work with your harness on an individual basis and I personally make sure it will last another 15 years or more. I stress quality of my work and i'm not going to give it to you unless i'm happy with it being displayed at SEMA, cuz it may just end up there for all i know!
Best of luck with your swap!
