Default turbo people, which injectors are you using?

i know that for most homemadeturbo.com type setups the most common injector to use are the DSM 450cc. Are there any other injectors out of other cars that will work as well? I am just curious as to what the boosted people are using so i can see what works and stuff. also im still trying to figure out what cc the my d16a6 injectors are... searching doesn't seem to help.

also does anyone know the size of the injectors that were in the b20 preludes and if it would be worth upgrading from mine to those?

Just get the turbo eclipse DSMs 450cc you can get them on ebay cheap! Blue ones are the older ones and black ones are the newr ones. Plug right into obd0 wiring harness standard injectors for all acuras and hondas are 240 cc if you boost youll need the 450cc

Well I don't know exactly if he could be maxing 450's, but I do know that I had to increase my fuel maps by an ADDITIONAL 25% after scaling them for my 780's. I did change to an adjustable FPR at the same time, but it was reading 42psi. Peak and Hold injectors, when not used with a driver box (drives a high current to open them, then lowers it while they spray), seem to need a longer pulse than saturated of the same size.

That said, I'm using Siemen Deka 780cc injectors. They are a ball-type, just like Rochester (MSD & Precision). Wider spray pattern, finer mist, and better response than pintle-types. Idles my sohc fine, same gas milage, fine@startup, etc. Newer Uberdata scripts helped with the 3 minor issues with them (just because they were so big).

I believe ford probe injectrs (turbo models) are 390's or so, DSMs are 450s or 390s, theres also the main injectors from 80's RX-7's that are around 450-550cc. Good list/info here: http://www.antimpower.com/injectorfyi/

A shop I went to quite a while back told me that stock injectors were good up to about 300 hp. From what you guys are saying, I don't see how that could be true.

you should up your fuel pressure if you are about to max 550's out, although youll need a complete retune..

DSM 390cc or 450cc should work fine. If you need the extra fuel evo3 yellow tops are rated at 510cc and the evo8 pink tops are rated at 560cc. I used to run the yellow tops on my talon tsi and upped the boost to 17lbs and had to get a set of evo8's. These are usually the cheaper way to when trying to turbo on a budget.

My 720cc venom injectors maxed out at 26 psi. Got some 1000cc RCs so I can up the boost this spring.

I'd love to see the blown motors that shop has produced. Someone recently made 303whp on an LS with dsm 450's and a 255HP pump far beyond stock fuel pressure.

Most calulations will lead to "WHP = CC's x .175", and thats above 43psi fuel, 100% duty cycle, and a very nice turbo motor to make that power.

I made 366 whp on RC440's base pressure of 85psi and peak of 95psi. the injectors were at 95% duty cycle... TALKIN ABOUT PUSIN TO THE LIMIT! haha

that was on 10psi. I currently run 5psi so the injectors can keep up w/o reaching such a high duty cycle.
