I dont think this is true.
From what i hear Topline is made by rock. OEM Honda pistons are made by Honda.

BTW- From everyone I know whos tried Topline, they are junk. The ring landings are infamous for breaking. Seriously dont waste your time or money

I never said Topline is made over seas. From my knowledge they are the same brand or affiliated to Rock Pistons and or Hastings. Ive had a few friends use them with horrible results though

(acl, hastings, melling, topline, safety, enginetech,qu alcast, futur cylinder heads , Rol gaskets and couple other companies)

word, But I'm almost 100% certain that Topline doesn't produce the OEM pistons for Honda. I believe Honda has its own production facility for their motor parts.

I put Topline pistons in Ron's daily driver Integra and they have been just fine. I have also used them in a couple of other builds, all without issues!

all the ones my friends have used where the ITR spec .20 over. In all the cases the rings all had blow-by. And when dissassembled the ring landings where allways broke on almost all the pistons

This car had Topline ITR 81.50mm.

It ran pretty good. But other people I know had problems with oil consumption using the rings supplied with the pistons.

Rs has there own line of cast pistons they are not top line ,rock or safty.

The top line and safty pistons come with a low tension oil ring so they do not work very well.
All of the pistons from RS come with a Good ring set you should not have a problem.

I've been running the topline pistons with rings for about a year. No problems yet, however my friend ran the same pistons and rings went bad after a couple of miles(professionally installed) . I would avoid them if at all possible, had i known back then i would've went with oem cast pistons or aftermarket pistons. good luck

i have bought prob 20 sets of topline pistons.

the PISTONS are not a problem IMO. i have never had issues. THE RINGS are USUALLY way too fat on the ring gap. I have had prob 13 sets that i bought new rings for, or had them send me .20 or .40 over rings to file down.

I would use their pistons, and ask them to send you oversized rings so you can filethem down, OR, you might get lucky and they will be ok.

but the piston itself, i have never had issues. BTW toplines shipping dept and warehouse is 30min from me, i have been there ,and SEEN WITH MY OWN eyes the shipping labels of pistons going to Honda/Acura dealerships

You will never get good ring seal by taking an oversized ring and filing it down to fit in a smaller bore. Rings are sold in particular sizes for a reason.
